Thoughtful real estate guidance for seniors and their families
I’m pleased to share my latest advertisement in the November 2026 edition of Neighbours of Shaughnessy, a community publication that celebrates the people and stories of one of Vancouver’s most established neighbourhoods.
My message is simple:
“There is no rush, we move at your pace.”
For me, these words represent much more than a marketing message. They reflect how I believe seniors and their families deserve to be supported when making important real estate decisions.
A Home Is More Than a Property
For someone who has lived in the same home for 20, 30, or even 40 years, the idea of moving can feel overwhelming.
A family home holds decades of memories — holidays, celebrations, milestones, and everyday moments that make a house truly special.
Deciding whether to downsize is not simply a financial or real estate decision. It is also an emotional one.
And that deserves understanding, patience, and respect.
Downsizing Doesn’t Have to Mean Rushing
Sometimes, the most valuable first step is simply having a conversation.
You may be wondering:
Is my current home still the right fit for my lifestyle?
Would a smaller property make everyday life easier?
What should I do before preparing my home for sale?
How can I help my parents explore their housing options?
What if I’m not ready to move yet?
These are important questions, and there is no single answer that works for everyone.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before asking for guidance.
Supporting Seniors and Their Families in Vancouver
As a REALTOR® and Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®) with RE/MAX Select Properties, I focus on providing thoughtful guidance to seniors and their families as they consider downsizing, relocating, or planning for future housing needs.
My approach begins with listening.
Understanding your priorities, concerns, lifestyle, and goals allows us to explore your options together — without unnecessary pressure.
Whether you’re ready to make a move or simply thinking about what the next few years might look like, the conversation can begin at your own pace.
Planning Today Can Bring Peace of Mind Tomorrow
One of the greatest benefits of early planning is having time to make informed decisions.
Exploring housing options, understanding your property’s potential market value, and discussing practical next steps with family members can help make future transitions feel less stressful.
And sometimes, after exploring the possibilities, the best decision is to stay exactly where you are.
That’s perfectly okay, too.
Your Next Chapter, Your Timeline
I’m grateful to Neighbours of Shaughnessy for the opportunity to share my message with the local community.
If you or someone you love is beginning to think about downsizing, relocation, or future housing plans in Vancouver or the surrounding communities, I would be happy to start with a conversation.
There is no rush. We move at your pace.
